Senior / Manager Software Engineer
Wi2Wi is looking for energetic and enthusiastic senior/Manager software engineer excited about 802.11, WiMax, wireless networking, network protocols and embedded systems. In this role you will be responsible for architecting, designing and coding of the Wi2Wi wireless communication products. In this role you will work closely with other software, hardware, and system engineers to define and create the architecture and solution, and work cross functionally to realize the vision. You must thrive when involved with multiple issues at the same time, and take satisfaction in knocking down issues as they come up. This is a great place to get exposed to a wide range of technology. Experience full product life cycles from product definition all the way through shipping of the products.
Our ideal candidate should have significant development experience. Solid experience of OS internals such as device drivers, networking interfaces, and the TCP/IP stack is desirable. A strong knowledge of kernel configuration and build, packaging, install and initial system bring up including boot loading is also a benefit. Thorough understanding of OS utilities such as system logging, network services and run time options is preferred.
Experience with the following technologies is highly preferred,
- 802.11 and WiMax wireless networking
- OS porting and BSP functionalities
- System primitives such as timers, DMA, interrupts, cache configuration and device registration
- Various bus types such as PCI, PCIE, SDIO, PIO
- Experience with Linux, WinCE, Windows Mobile, NetBSD, VxWorks or another RTOS
- Experience with Windows network drivers
- Experience with processors from Marvell, Samsung, Ti, and Freescale
- Hardware Bring-up Diagnostic
- Diagnostic software development.
