Overview

WE935B00 module from Wi2Wi's EM series is a best in class single-band (2.4GHz) high performance embedded Wi-Fi module. This highly integrated plug and play, embedded wifi module with chip antenna and MHF4 IPEX connector includes dedicated microcontroller, MAC, baseband, RF transceiver, power amplifier, crystal, Tx/Rx switch, filter and OTP memory for calibration data and MAC address. WE935B00 (serial to wifi module) is a complete wireless subsystem in a small form factor, featuring full 802.11 b/g/n capabilities with embedded Wireless LAN (WLAN) stack, supplicant and TCP/IP stack. By completely off-loading the external Microcontroller (MCU) from wireless and Networking Stack activities, user can dedicate the external host for application development and significantly reduce their time to market and R&D cost. This WLAN module supports UART, SPI and USB* host interfaces and comes in various operating temperatures and certified to FCC, CE and IC.

The WE935B00 Evaluation kit is a Wi-Fi evaluation platform for the WE935B00 Single-Band (802.11bgn) WLAN module. This WE935B00 2.4GHz wireless LAN module along with other supporting passive components is mounted on the Evaluation board which can be connected to various Microcontroller development platforms or PC/Laptops. This same 2.4 Gig module evaluation board is being used for performing FCC, CE and IC certification and the same can be used to perform the RF tests for any regional certifications like TELEC, KCC, Anatel, etc. The Kit comes with wifi bgn module Evaluation Board, a Micro USB to USB cable and a 2.4 GHz Rubber Duck Antenna with MHF4 IPEX connector cable. A complete software driver support and all related collaterals will help the user to evaluate this embedded Wi-Fi module and integrate into their end system with substantial reduction in their RND efforts, resources, budget and supports faster time to market.
